Cats and Kittens currently available for adoption
Thinking of Adopting from Jenny’s Cat House
Please have a look through this page, where you will find a photograph of all of our cats and kittens that are currently ready for adoption along with a short paragraph about them, their personalities and which families they will be suitable for.
All of the cats and kittens on this page will be microchipped and neutered. Young kittens that are too small to be neutered, will be required to be neutered when they reach 4 months old or 2kg in weight, whichever comes sooner.
All adoptions will be subject to an adoption fee and a home check, and will be provided with 5 weeks free insurance with Agria Pet Insurance.
Penny
Penny arrived at the rescue pregnant with 6 babies that have since been re-homed. She is now looking for her forever home herself.
We think she is around 3-4 years old although it is hard to know for sure. She loves her food and is very playful but will require her forever family to be patient with her, allowing her time and space to settle and get used to her new humans.
She can be a little feisty, so we would be hesitant to re-home with small children, although she would probably be fine with older children as long as they are happy to give Penny her own time and space.
She is microchipped, neutered, flead, wormed, fully vaccinated and ready to go.
Charley
Charley the 6 year old female who likes to play with balls, feathers, strings and the red dot laser pen, is hesitant to be stroked but sometimes allows it and will definitely let you know when she’s had enough.
Charley is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. She has had flea and worm treatment, which unfortunately she had a reaction to so will need oral medicine rather than spot on.
Charley doesn’t like dogs so would need a home without. She may be ok with another cat with patience and time.
Gypsy
Gypsy loves people, she likes nothing more than your time and attention, being stroked but on her terms. She wants to play and although she spends quite a bit of time with my cats, she tries to be the boss, attacking them and trying to put them in their places. She would prefer to be an only cat
Dolly
Dolly is a 2 year old with character, she is definitely a cat who knows what she wants, although she is misunderstood i think because she can be so loving and friendly but then after several strokes decides she’s had enough and will swipe. She’s been grieving for her male owner who sadly passed away.
Dolly isn’t keen on other cats so would prefer to be the only spoilt kitty in the home.
Miss Prim
Miss prim is a 1-2 years old who was found at the premier inn car park on Ferriby Road where she had been for a few months. She is absolutely lovely, friendly and enjoys playing but isn’t happy with other cats so would prefer to be an only one. She definitely lives up to her name as she thinks she’s very prim and proper.
Mittens
Mittens is a beautiful 2 year old who loves fuss and attention. She can initially be nervous but once she knows you she wants to be with you for cuddles. She loves the laser pen, chasing the dot and she is always ready to eat. She has lived with other cats and would settle well with children.
Poppy and Milly
Poppy and Milly are 1 year old sisters. They are very loving girls who have a strong bond so we would like them to go together. Both of them love fuss and attention, if you’re looking for a lap cat or two we believe you can’t go wrong with them.
Muffin
Beautiful, quiet unassuming Muffin named because she was found by a family eating bread in their garden put out for the birds. She is said to be an older lady but we are thinking 4 or 5 years old. She is super friendly but isn’t too sure of other cats, given time and patience she may settle with another cat. She’s a little purr machine always ready to be stroked and loved.
Zarla
Zarla is an absolute love bug, she will sit on your knee all day long, giving you hugs and wanting fuss from you. She’s 11 months old and cannot wait to love you. She would be best as an only cat but we feel will be brilliant with children.
Terminator is a polydactyl who was rescued from a garden near Bilton Grange. He is chipped but his previous owner didn’t want him anymore, so he is now looking for his forever home. Terminator is quite shy initially and will take time to settle in. We think he would like to be an only cat in a family that can allow him to have his own space.

Moto moto
Moto moto is 2/3 year old boy who has tested positive for fiv but other than that is perfectly healthy. He is a loving friendly boy but can be shy until he trusts you. He would love to be the only cat as he tends to feel intimidated by other cats. He loves his food so if you have treats he’s your best buddy.
Corkie
Corkie is a really friendly and loving 8 year old who loves attention, cuddles and hugs but does not like other cats, so we will be looking to rehome him to a loving home where he is the only pet.
